“The concept for the Queen of Hearts was to create a story portraying characters enthralled in their addiction to fashion and glamour in otherworldly surroundings. We found inspiration in fairytale re-makes such as Alice In Wonderland and Willy Wonka by Tim Burton and other fantastical stories like the Little Mermaid and the Boy who cried wolf.
We wanted to create fashion scenes that combine kitsch with grace, nativity with narcissism, playfulness with maturity, and nostalgia with modernism.”

“The inspiration comes from the desire to uncomplicatedly show unique contemporary jewellery,
on a blank canvas, this minimalistic approach was accentuated by bathing the talent in a cool blue hue, resulting in the striking jewellery becoming the shoot’s focus... the heroes.”
