Kurv Magazine, BVLGARI presents the new Astrale Collection.

The addition of elegant new creations makes the Astrale jewelry collection even richer than before.

An all-encompassing luminosity is the common thread that links the ring, necklace and earrings of this magnificent new parure. Created in 2004, the Astrale collection has always played on the combination of circular elements encrusted in diamond pavé. With this new matched set, the use of diamonds of different sizes mounted on elements that sinuously follow the movement of the body enables the stones to fully express their luminous energy.

The new additions to the Astrale collection are ideal for special occasions, as a celebration of the femininity and classical elegance of the woman who wears them. The new creations will be available in Bulgari stores starting in October 2010.

Reservation Bison – Our products are primarily crafted from a very special type of Buffalo which is indigenous to North America; the American Bison. Long Fabled for its beauty, strength and ferocity, the American Bison is the quintessential representation of the relentless spirit and unbridled freedom of the American West. The North American Bison herd was once more than 50 million animals, but was pushed to the edge of extinction by the end of the 1800’s. After a massive effort by idealistic conservationists, and decades of responsible herd management, the North American Bison has fully rebounded, and currently numbers about 500,000 animals strong.
Our leather comes from Reservation style Bison ranches, where the animals live organically, wander free and are humanely treated throughout their 10 to 20 year lives. Each hide is carefully selected, and treated in small batches by our micro-tannery, using age-old techniques that allow its elegant natural feel and luxurious texture to radiate.

Military Grade Ceramic – The most significant advances in materials science over the last few decades have come in the realm of ceramics. Military Grade Ceramics are some of the hardest man-made substances in the world, and they are used for extremely rugged applications such as anti-ballistic plating for vehicles, cutting blades for metal and concrete, and thermal-resistant tiles for the space shuttle. Our Military Grade Ceramics possess unrivalled strength, and are unquestionable beautiful in both form and function.

Kevlar – The first generation of Kevlar was developed by Dupont Laboratories in the 1960’s for extreme strength and abrasion resistance. While it feels like fabric, it has the strength of an industrial grade solid. It is 5 times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis. Kevlar is so strong that state of the art anti-ballistic vests use 28 layers of it to stop a 9mm bullet. We use Kevlar internal linings to vastly increase the life-span and durability of our products.

The Miss Fancypants 2010 swimwear collection takes its inspiration from the fabulous pin-up girls of yesteryear, typified by the covers of the iconic 50’s “Film Fun” magazine. Her signature look features high cut waists with full bottom coverage evoking the style, attitude and sex appeal of a bygone era. 
Styles such as the 2 piece Grace bikini reflects pure old school Hollywood glamour with its super high waist bottom and bandeau halter top. The Rita one piece is flirty, vintage inspired fun! Featuring a flattering gathered centre front with a mini circular skirt attached at the waist -  you’ll be the belle of the beach!

In addition to the current colours of Classic Black, Cardinal Red, Navy, Leopard Print, and Old Gold, three new seasonal colours will be released for the 10/11 season including Pink Blossom, Azure and Topaz.

In 1924 Jacques Guerlain’s imagination was enflamed by a love story that has all the makings of an oriental fairytale. A few drops of vanillin ethyl added to a bottle of Jicky  were the first notes in an utterly new olfactory hymn to love, Overcome by this magnificently carnal creation, carried away by a sudden flurry of emotion, Jacques Guerlain reworked this audacious experiment night and day  until the birth of the first oriental juice in 1925.

Citrus top notes take flight in a breath of freshness that stirs an enveloping,  delicately powdered heart. The spellbinding trail of a carnal vanilla, the penetrating charm of iris, the balmy roundness of opopanax and the gourmand warmth of Tonka bean in a bottle which glorified the curves of the fountains that decorate the gardens on Indian palaces, orchestrate an intimate, languid symphony of scent.

 Shalimar incarnates a certain, almost tangible sensuality, an original desire and a hint of the forbidden.
